Has anyone had a problem with their Xbox scratching only one game? Mine is scratching one game, the rest are fine. I never move the Xbox when it is on, and it is sitting flat. I dont get why it would be doing it to one game only. I tried calling Microsoft and they gave me no answers except to buy another game. I am confused!

The only problem with the 360 is you Own one get a PS3 you cheap Bastard. But seriouly I have heard of it scratching games if you turn it on with a game inside of it its pretty common check out some xbox forums. What you really have to worry about is RRoD read about that.

Thanks for that info. I do turn the console on and off with the game in. Luckily it is only happening with one disc and hopwfully it wont happen with the others. I can still play the game, but one or two of the tracks(Forza 2) will make the game freeze and sometimes the track will disappear and I will be driving in mid air. If I want to get a new one, it is only $20 bucks now so it isn't too bad.

Yes I have heard of the rrod. I have never had that problem in the year that I have had it. I dont really play it that often, maybe two or three times a week, so I dont think it has a chance to overheat. Maybe I will try to make it happen before the three year warranty is up.

I actually remember that being a problem when they first came out. My friend had one and it scratched the shit out of Gears of War and some other game. If you have an older system than I would say email Microsoft about it. If it's new, I have no idea.

But he sent his off to Microsoft and they fixed it.

It is a problem with some 360s. I saw an article about it on ign.com (i think) The article was saying that Microsoft knows of the problem, and has even eluding to knowing about it before launch, but they haven't done anything about it.

If its only one game I'd question if it had to do w/ the disc itself.

If a disc isn't properly balanced it obviously wouldn't spin correctly. It could just be a manufacturing error w/ the disk. Do you see any imperfections on the label?

Secondly your experiencing the scratching of the disk because your probably using the 360 vertically.

If you are using it vertically and it skips, it will scratch the Disc. DVD drives dont work very well sideways..

its got to be the disc. cause i have never had that problem, and sence i bought mine a year and a half ago i have left the disc in damn near every time i play

The whole thing leaving the game inside when you start the system up sounds like the key unless the disc was wrapped or something....but i'll go with the first answer about leaving the disc inside the system
