I doubt that 2 Live Crew is the headliner. He said he has another major act booked but he's not announcing it until later this week or next week. Last year he had DMC and Saliva, so I'm guessing the other band he's going to announce is a big name like Saliva.

I just saw the website about it. It better be good. Its pathetic he never has things ready. I will probably blow off Roverfest anyways because they are never on time and they waste 3 hours on the strippers errrr calander girls. I don't think Saliva went on last year till midnight and by then over half the crowd bailed. Rover and his girlfriend Duji are horrible at time management and planning.

Roverfest last 2 years was awesome each time, and I'm sure it will be great this time. Hopefully Mitchell doesn't show up...but knowing his type, he'll bash it for the next month then come anyways and tell us the next day how much it sucked.

i agree that every year roverfest is sick and this year will be no different. they are building up for an anouncement of another band and even if there isnt shit u go pay 9 bux see a bunch of hott chicks half naked on stage play beer pong and just fuck around seems better that siting at home on the couch.

Sorry 12Step, I didn't mean "Big Name". I should've said Well Known or something. And I agree with montequila, for 9 bucks you get a great Saturday night out. Went last year and it was a blast, except for the pisser issues, but Rover said that's resolved, so it should be good times.

When I first came to the site today I was highly disappointed when I saw the ad. I didn't hear the announcement this morning, but I am hoping it *is* in fact true that another (or more?) bands will be announced. And I have my fingers crossed for a rock/metal band to even it out like it was last year.

But either way, I'm still going. Last year was epic for our group. I was belligerently drunk and had the time of my life, and this year we are being responsible adults (lol) and getting hotels so I can drink even more!!.... so cheers to the vomiting that I'll be waking up to that Sunday morning!

The sangria was too good. Too easy to drink = drinking way more than I had intended. My friend says I downed 12 in the first hour cuz it was hotter than hell & I kept saying it's okay cuz I wasn't feeling anything. So needless to say, it finally hit me and all at once 20 drinks & $100 less later and I couldn't stand straight... and it was the greatest time ever. The key is to get a group of really drunk, amusing friends and the night is yours!

So even if a decent band isn't announced, we're still going. Hmmmm, shitty stage amusement means I'll just have an excuse to drink more to entertain myself, which means more $$$ for Rovers show! Go him!

Monte dude you need to get laid if going an seeing those chicks is a highlight or a good time.

Simple solution put the tramps out at 6 pm and then let the acts entertain the rest of the night.

I mean I don't really care... just find it amusing you hate him enough to help his web hits and message board post totals, which considering the type of industry they are in, he probably makes money from every single web hit & post. They are here to make money, and that is what they are doing. A lot of people hate Marilyn Manson and think he's disgusting and a freak and yadda yadda yadda. While I'm not exactly a fan, I'm pretty impartial............ but at the end of the day he's doing what he loves to do, and is making hella money doing it. I, on the other hand, am currently stuck punching the 9-5 to get by. So given my lifestyle, I say cheers to anyone who is doing what they want to do and making a nice living from it.

Just remember, in the end everyone is making money off of somebody else.

I laughed when they announced who would be playing at rover fest this morning and I was totally sold on going. People are talking shit about what's in store so far, but I'm all for it. $9 tickets and $4 beer with a night full of reminiscing and booty shaking...let's face it, we're in Ohio and the price is beyond right. It may just be a radio show, but at the end of the day it's about having a good time and there's nothing but promise for this year's rover fest.

Am I the only one getting sick of Rover always promoting something? I swear, he spends half the show promoting either his calendar search DVD, the TV show, and now its gonna be non-stop Roverfest talk for the next month. It gets old. I notice he'll even take phone calls and read emails about these topics, just so he can promote them even more.
