So there's not really a topic for this. It's pretty much if you've got some random thought in your head...spit it out.

Like lately I've thought how it's gotta suck for the family/friends of some celebs when their loved one dies and it's like the media barely mentions it. Like Billy Mays and Ed McMahon. Then on the other hand you had huge deals made about Farrah and MJ.

But it really sucks when the news will spend maybe a few minutes on the death of someone like a firefighter, cop, soldier or someone like that who gave their life while trying to save someone.

I really think that there should be extra police stationed at accidents. The sole purpose for the additional police would be to give traffic sitations to people who slow down and look at the accident. That shit backs up traffic for miles and then when you finally get past it you slam on the gas to make up for lost time, which has to raise the likelihood of creating more accidents. Thus the great cycle of shit that is gridlock is reborn.

I know the jobs pay awesome but I don't know that I could ever do the crab fishing like they do on Deadliest Catch or the guys who drive the ice roads on Ice Road Truckers. I mean they make some serious cash for only like 2 months of work but shit the risk of dying or getting injured isn't a joke.

I wish my Dad still owned his bar/restaurant...the stuff that happened there was freaky..I had some interesting "experiences" working there

The reason why they don't make a bigger deal in the media over the military, police, or firefighters, is because they don't want Amercians pondering over their deaths. They want more people to join these organizations. If they showed every soldiar that has died since Sept. 11th then less poeple would be willing to join up and less people would support the stupid ass war in Iraq. It's the governments way of brainwashing civilians, but if you notice when they take over a city or region over there, they make a big deal because dumb people eat that shit up and get all patriotic.
