TOPIC: Extremely weak headliner this year?

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 1 year ago #110287

Are we really going to do this? Firstly, I gave quite the compliment to the booking of Vanilla Ice and Ed K. So it's not like I am completely bitching about the bands.
And even if I was, the squeaky wheel is the one that gets the grease. I think it is quite well known that ToaDM was discovered and first toured with Nickelback. Hence why they sound very similar.
And if you like the two, well that sounds like a personal issue that years of psychology may not even fix.

And if you don't like a personal opinion on an opinion based forum, well then quit bitching, you don't have to read it.

It seems like you're the one who has a problem with other peoples opinions since you're the one making the bigger deal about it. It's cool that you posted your opinion about something but other people are disagreeing with you. It's really no big deal.

Also, I find it laughable that people compare Nickelback's lyrics to Lyrics from TOADM.

Chad Kroeger and Tyler Connolly certainly have a similar voice, but their lyrical content is vastly different. ESPECIALLY with TOADM's recent album, "The Truth Is..."

And yeah, so what if I'm a Theory of a Deadman fan? Tyler Connolly is fucking hot with that pompadour style hair. Their guitarist is fucking amazing at what he does and while some of their songs are deemed inappropriate, they have a bunch of other songs that really make me think.

No, I know I am clearly in the minority against Nickelback/ToaDM, seeing as Nickelback is a million+ record seller. However, 99% of the population thought the Earth was flat too.
I am more agitated by the fact that you think that this can only be a forum where we suck Rover's dick 100% and cannot give any criticism whatsoever lest I am labeled as a whiny bitch.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110312

What makes you think the earth isn't flat? Besides, that was like thousands of years ago. You can't compare people now to people back then... They didn't have cars and shit.

I am certainly not even close to kissing Rover's ass. My opinions about Theory of a Deadman come from my being an avid fan for the past...2+ years. This has NOTHING to do with Rover. And if you looked through the forums more, you would find that LOTS of people do not kiss Rover's ass as well.

I don't know where you get your numbers from in regards to Nickelback's sales because they're pretty much a nationwide (I don't want to say worldwide) joke.

(The point is, it is proven the overwhelming majority can be wrong)

But why is it an all or nothing thing? Simply because I criticize one aspect of the show, I should just not go altogether? So all those that go have to 100% agree with the entire show?

Not at all! By all means disagree with whatever you want. It's everyone right as an american to voice their opinion. It's just more entertaining when people disagree. So I'll end with Nickelback is AWESOME and YOU SUCK!

Going to just assume that is not the first time you have done that label 100% justice....

People like you crack me up, As I said before bitch about something simple then have a pissy fit when people have a different opinion then yours. Don't be a Hypocrite take your own advice.

How this has any thing to do with kissing rovers ass is beyond me. That sounds more like a sad attempt to change the subject. I agree every one has the right to there opinion by all means voice it but on the same note do not turn into a whiny bitch when the majority differs from you.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110376

Bands at Rover Fest always suck. They can't afford real bands and keep ticket price lows. we go for the cheap women and beer.

I feel bad for the bands that play. They have fallen so far it makes me weep for their egos. A hot woman with long legs I call her 'stems'.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110476

Yea everyone's bitching about the bands. But this is probably the worst line up for Rover Fest that I can think of off the top of my head. Still got my tickets and going to be fucking wasted having a good ass time. They usually wait til last minute to throw a different band in. Look at 2 years ago when MUSHROOMHEAD popped up at last minute.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110477

lol keep saying that it's a shitty lineup. Roverfest sold out in 5 days last year, and 8 hours this year. While Rover is gaining popularity by the year, I can guarantee you that the main reason why it sold out so fast is because of the bands playing.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110480

Nobody cares about the bands playing. They just want to be there.

Do you think those bands would sell out a venue in 8 hours?

shutfuckup stop being an ignorant cunt.

Re: Extremely weak headliner this year? 12 months ago #110481

lol, even Rover himself said that he predicted a fast sell out BECAUSE of Theory of a Deadman and their popularity (especially in the female audience). It could very much be a combination of the two. But the bands certainly helped.

shutfuckup stop being an ignorant cunt.

OH NO! SOMEONE WHOM I WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NEVER MEET IN MY ENTIRE LIFE JUST CALLED ME A CUNT BEHIND THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF A COMPUTER SCREEN! I'm going to cry myself to sleep because a grammar deprived asshole doesn't like what I have to say. :'(
