I don't know if it's just me, but doesn't this year's headliner for Roverfest suck? I pretty much see Theory of a Dead Man as a worse version of Nickleback. I mean, they did just tour with Nickleback. And they do have similar lyrical content....

I am jealous a bit that you guys get vanilla ice..but on the plus I get to catch our lady peace, offspring, and eve 6 at bonzai in rochester..along with a few other newer bands I can't remember..aaaannndddd...the rmg crew is gonna be there..totally stoked about that

I thought the bands seemed pretty weak as well. They say they always try to find ways to outdo themselves, but I don't see this as a huge upgrade or anything. I would rather see the Live guy or Vanilla Ice than the headliner. Also, no comedian or co-host? Seems weird. I know Ralphie May always says he wants to do it, surprised they didn't get him to do it.

Entertainment sounded pretty good last couple of years. I've really been wanting to go, but too swamped with work. But I'll be there this year!

Last year they added more after the initial announcement, so maybe that will happen this year also.

If anyone is looking for tickets, there's gonna be a raffle for charity (profits going to Wounded Warriors) in a couple weeks. 6 pairs of ticket, some being boat tickets. Not sure where it's gonna be yet, but I'll try to update here when I find out.

I actually think Theory of a Deadman is MUCH better than Nickelback. I actually wonder if the reason Roverfest sold out so quick is because TOADM is gonna be there. Chicks dig that guy (myself included) and the band doesn't seem all that close to Nickelback at all (I don't listen to Nickelback though)

Theory hasn't toured with Nickelback since 2002, so it's not fair to say they "just" toured with them. I've seen both bands this year, headlining their own separate tours, and neither has anything to do with the other anymore!

If you all don't like the bands then don't go! There are a ton of people bitching about how they couldn't get tickets so anyone that has tickets but is crying about the bands can sell their tickets to the people who didn't get tickets! GET IT!

They could even just go to Roverfest until the band shows up and they leave! It's literally that simple. If you don't like the band, then LEAVE. Jesus Christ. I've never been to a Roverfest before so I don't know when exactly the bands go on, but I would imagine you get a couple hours of good partying in before the bands show up?

I think the band line up is great this year. Theory of a dead man has not toured with nickleback in some time. While the 2 bands are close in style they both kick ass IMO. if you don't like the headliner simply find some thing else to do. Not like it would be all that hard to do it is a fest after all.

Would love to see Black Stone Cherry added to the bands but doubt that will happen. I just hope a lame ass band doesn't win the cabo wabo contest, a few of those bands sounded like same old BS want to be soft rock bands.

Regardless who is playing i am still going and having a fcking blast!
