My favorite part of that excerpt is what they took out... the dots are in place of him saying "derr idk why i say the things i do maybe its too many shots to the head or dare Dieters..."- witch is actually a good point, considering how brain damage effects impulse control.

What the heck is wrong with a lot of you? Yes, it was a (pretty bad) joke, but that doesn't make it alright. If Dieter said, "Your daughter kissed a black man? You need to get one of your white friends to screw her right," people would be flipping out.

Also, what he said was publicly broadcasted to thousands at his job. I know if I stood up at my job and said, "If you're gay, talk to me to get fucked straight," I would be fired. That's not even including the fact that she was 16, the possibly implied rape, and the apology that said he was sorry for offending people, not for the homophobic remarks.

I am not sure why people are still discussing this. Much of RMG is based of "Black Comedy" which dates all the way back to 1935.

Some people enjoy this time of comedy others do not. Typically those that don't a) either fight for a larger more serious cause (i.e. GLADD, MAAD, Animal Protection Leagues, etc) or b) are people who are part of the population in which are being subjected to this sort of comedic relief.

This really should come as a surprise to anyone as America has become exponentially more sensitive since the 1950's. I remember when coaches were actually allowed to curse in front of their players. Now if a coach uses cuss words, it's an almost guarantee that a parent will complain.

This is just the world we live in now days and everyone is going to have to adapt or face the inevitable consequence which is what Dieter may have to deal with.

I am surprised the Animal Protection organizations haven't come down on President Obama for his "Tasty Pit Bull" joke he told at the White House Correspondents dinner.

What Dieter said is pretty awful but at the same time, there is a lot of derogatory things and topics that are discussed on that show. In my personal opinion, RMG has been on for years now and everyone that listens should know what to expect. If you don't want to be subject to this sort of humor, simply don't listen. As far as what Dieter said being a felony as some people on here have alluded to, I would love to be a defense lawyer in that lawsuit. I would definitely get creative with my countersuit.

Well, I don't think it's very fair to compare your job to Dieter's as he is paid to comment on issues. I don't know what you do, but it's likely not the same.

As i've pointed out. It was a comment made three years ago. Since you listen, you know Dieter has become a little more tolerant since this comment. And since you listen you also heard the end of the discussion where he was berated and used to make a point of why we need to educate and learn.

In addition, smithOSU, I want to reiterate, there are plenty of inappropriate topics that are discussed on RMG. On occasion, they belittle obese people as well as those with learning disabilities.

Why is it "ok" for you to be infuriated by this comment, but not by any other inappropriate comments that are made on the show? I mean, if you are going to be mad over comments made on a show that is known for it's "Dark Satirical Humor" at least be consistent. Watch any stand up comedian. Much of their comedy comes from the misfortunes of others.

Again, RMG is a comedic show. Most of the topics are not intended to be serious. They are all characters acting out a skit every day. It's no different than what you see in the movies. Is it "ok" for a movie to display graphic rape or scenes of violence?

Since you have supposedly been a long time RMG listener, it completely boggles my mind you are surprised by this. I have no problem with you being angry with the comment, but instead of being angry with the comment, perhaps you should simply be angry with the format of the show. Dieter is paid because of the dark humor he brings to the show. Making fun of others misfortunes, is what Clear Channel indirectly pays him to do.

I just posted the longest goddamned post on Rover's fanpage on Facebook. Let's see how many of the anti-Dieter people actually read what I say instead of bashing me for not agreeing with them,

A. We have the freedom of speech! If we are not free to say it, then it's not freedom..just like gays "want" the freedom to get married, and not be publicly persecuted...

B. We should have the ability to sue any group that takes a persons words, warps them however they want, use mob/mafia tactics to threaten a persons lively hood (job/company) to get what they want...

C. He never said "Take her, and rape her"..He said that he should get a male to have sex with her maybe to clear her confusion... I don't know if you gays know but not all of you are straight gay, some of you are confused...

D. Who are we to let some Special Interest Group walk all over us as a people..they can say and do what they want? But we can't? Where is the group against GLAD, and GLBY? we need a special Interest Group to combat the Special Interest Groups...

E. From what I hear even gays don't like these groups, because they all have an agenda....get someone fired,get on the board of something to control others speech, stop this person from performing at any performance level because they are watching everything they say...
