Hello, long time Rover fan. Looking for info on bands local to the Akron/Cleveland area for a summer party.

Ideally a band that has a good range of music for a crowd of 200+ at a great indoor venue in downtown Akron.

If you have heard about or seen a great act lately, please pass it along. Need some good suggestions for a party in August.

JUNKMAN is the best local band in Akron!! They always play at Ripper Owen's Tap House in Akron and the lead singer is my brother... i am telling you...they are amazing! message me for info if u are interested.

You are right, your brother's band is really good. I listened to two songs 'Devil Under The Table' & 'Witching Hour' and liked what I heard a good deal.

I think the concern would be is they are a bit too heavy for this crowd of mostly 30 & 40 somethings. Lot of the women are going to be running around drinking wine like its a bachelorette party. I don't think we are looking for a wedding type band but someone who doesn't mind playing a bunch of popular stuff. I don't thing your brother would like it much if he is used to playing somewhere like the Tap House.
