Many People are heated about this situation, and I just kinda wanted to know how people felt about it...Don't care if your racist, don't care which side you sit on...just be honest...I think the guy (Zimmerman)was using racial profiling to pick his target...whether he is racist or not, I don't know...
Example (On a plane middle eastern people make you a bit more nervous doesn't mean your racist, just aware of the state of the world. Also doesn't mean you hate middle eastern people.)Fact is, we as black people are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime in the good ol US...but we would like the ability to walk down the street and not be looked at as a criminal (not all of us are)...I think this is where the problem is in the community, most of us blacks act all tough, and hard because we were taught that by our parents. Maybe a direct result of slavery, gotta be tough so they don't lock us up again! could have been the mindset...just being passed down over, and over, but we don't see that as a problem, matter of fact we relish in it and make all or heroes, and people of worth gangstas, and rappers...Bottom line, I feel a person with a pistol in his pocket has way more of an ego, than a person with a bag of skittles in his pocket.....no body goes to the store for snacks before they are about to go and commit a crime(cameras)....most criminals aren't walking down the street, in the rain, on the phone....If a guy was following me, then started confronting me out of nowhere, and is not a cop, I might be a lil upset as well...if that person is hot headed, has a pistol on them, and already made it up in his mind I am a criminal trying to do no good, he might be inclined to overstep his bounds as a citizen not a law enforcement officer....

Zimmerman as German a name as there is, A White Latino wanna be cop with a CCW, "Heir Zimmerman" sitting in his care with his gun in his driveway is one of those guys who would have eventually shot someone, probably a neighbor, regardless of race, color, creed or gender. Last thought on this, everyone eneds to chill the fuck out and let the authorities do thier investigation and take this to court, like any other case where there has been a shooting. I dont see this Zimmerman getting off with all the outcry, Prosecutors and Mayors want to be re elected, it will boil down to politics like everything else.

Either Zimmerman went after the kid to kill him or he didn't. Whether he was profiling or racist is irrelevant, IMHO. A dude was walking through people's yards in the middle of the night and the neighborhood watch guy spotted him and called 911.This wasn't a kid that lived there full time and obviously he didn't know him. When asked his race, he said he thought he was black.

His overzealousness (is that a word?) took over and he played cops and robbers and followed him. The kid maybe got scared or got pissed and then SOMETHING happened. The guy either shot him in cold blood or the kid turned around, with something in his hands, and the wannabe cop fired a shot in fear. Period. Now two families have had their world destroyed by this and the race baiters are out in full foece to throw their name in the pot. Folks in congress are wearing hoodies and shit? how ridiculous is that. I think it's racist to always fucking assume, when a victim is black, it's a race issue ESPECIALLY if the other guy is white...or looks white. Double standard. The opposite NEVER happens.

Anyone heard of the murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom? Of course not. A white couple was brutally tortured, raped, and murdered by 5 blacks.

Was he wrong to follow Trayvon? Yes. He's not a cop, and he did his job by calling 911. Did he follow him for the right reasons? Probably so. I know I immediately become suspicious when an unfamiliar car pulls in my driveway (I live in a rural area so there are not many people walking down the street), and I can't even see who's driving it! The first thing I think of is the quickest way to my night stand where my Beretta is incase I need it.

Could the police department have handled the investigation better? Absolutely, and I think Rover 100% correct when he said that we just need to let the Justice Department do their thing and see what the evidence tells us.

It’s a shitty way to go about it, but hopefully everyone learns from this and these mistakes can be avoided in the future.

Basically, we live in a fucked up world where people do fucked up things to each other and everyone is suspicious of everything. It's sad that skin color is ALWAYS considered a motive in all crimes and people like Al Sharpton and the Black Panthers will never let the world move pasted that fact.

The problem is on both sides of society. I feel like minorities are held down and they are victimized at higher rates but there is also a problem within their community that needs to stop. Everyone is pointing fingers away from themselves but there needs to be a change on both sides at the same time.

I don't think there is a white person alive that had anything to do with slavery...and that is why white people are mad, they are paying "for the sins of their fathers" and they don't want that...I think white people wish blacks could get past the whole slavery issue so we could "start" to move forward as a people....I don't think there is a black person alive that had anything to do with slavery....but we still have hostility towards whites, like they are smoking cigars outside our homes, swinging chains around, and lighting crosses on our lawns....truth is that hostility between the races is just what the government needs to keep expanding, and raping us all...good ol distractions....we have a constitution that allows us the right to bear arms in case of a tyrannical government...that's all well, and good, but it means nothing if the people stay in their homes, and never band together, and rise up against it( constant wars we can't afford, Three times sometimes four times taxed on the same dollar, belligerent use of tax payer money only to be met with a hand outstretched and a voice of more on the air, never finding where the money is being wasted due to the lack of responsibility anyone is willing to take (the higher ups, or the company says that's how it is) no individuals are responsible for making decisions anymore....they win....we are sheep....
