Good morning! Retro Rant for today.... I think it's groovy that people want to keep their traditions. Really I dig it. But, ask yourself these questions. Does a man marring a man or a woman marring a woman REALLY affect me or my marriage? Is being gay a sin or is having gay sex a sin? Do I sin? Is the fact that someone sins enough to keep freedoms from them? Do I really care or am I just judging someone and their lifestyle because it creeps me out? Is it fair to keep someone from freedoms I enjoy or have the option to enjoy? I think it's really sad that this is an issue in our society, but truthfully being raised a Catholic, and not being exposed to gay people or not realizing I was my whole life, I was honestly creeped out by gay people. No one want's to mess with your traditions, keep your traditions and celebrate them any time you get the chance and they will still be your traditions. But don't deny someone the right to have their own traditions recognized by our government no matter how different they are than you. The first amendment is important. We need to stop spitting on our rights because that , my friends, is jive.
